Introduction

1.  By demonstrating resolve and maintaining the ability to deal with successfully with threats to the interests of the Federated Suns, we deter those who would use military power against us. Readiness and military professionalism lessen the risk of our having to fight at all. When we fight, we fight to win.

2.  The nature of modern warfare demands that we fight as a team. To this extent the Soldiery stands as an organization dedicated to refining the skills to develop the superior Mechwarrior and Commander.   The Soldiery is dedicated to building these capabilities in House Davion.  It is a non-denominational and non-political organization dedicated to and for the warriors of the Armed Forces Federated Suns.

3.  The team work and skills developed provide field Commanders the ability to apply overwhelming force from different dimensions and directions to shock, disrupt, and defeat opponents. Effectively integrated battlemech forces expose no weak points or seams to enemy action, while they rapidly and efficiently find and attack enemy weak points.

4.  The Soldiery  is here to provide and elite organization to help train and fight for the Prince, outside of the politics and power grabbing that engulfs the Federated Suns.  We a re here to set an example of honesty and integrity by action and deed.  To train ourselves in all aspects of battlemech combat and operations.  To ensure the freedom of the realm.

5.  The NCC Soldiery is a politically neutral organization dedicated to honor and integrity of House Davion.  No member is required to leave his unit or command to join.  The Soldiery is an ideal not a commitment.  We are dedicated to the Prince in all we do and say.  We stand to protect our realm and community from any threat foreign or domestic.  The Soldiery is broken into two branches.  Initiates join as members of the "Men at Arms of the Soldiery".  Men at Arms join  the Soldiery with the title of squire.  Once they complete their initial training they advance to the status of "Man at Arms of the Soldiery".  Additionally the Men at Arms branch consist of Alumni of the Soldiery.  These are warriors that have trained at the Bastille, but not taken up a formal association with the Soldiery.  Finally, Men at Arms of the Soldiery can advance into the Order of the "Brothers of the Soldiery."  The BoS are individuals that no longer associate with the politics of the House, or specific units.  They join the Soldiery totally and with no other remaining unit affiliation.  They are dedicated to the House in it's entirety.
